Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Take the AVILOO Box out of the package
Inside the box, you'll find the AVILOO Box and the OBD-II cable.

  2. Connect the OBD-II cable to the vehicle’s OBD port
Plug the OBD-II connector from the AVILOO Box into the vehicle's OBD port.

  3. Turn on the vehicle ignition (after the box has been connected)

    • Turn on the vehicle

    • Switch to Ready Mode.

What to Expect

  • 🚦 The LED indicator should turn on and communicate the following;

    • Flashing Blue - the box is booting up

    • Flashing Yellow - the box is requesting data

    • Permanent Yellow - the box has received the VIN

    • Permanent Green - the test is complete (takes about 3 minutes)

  • ❌ If the LED turns red, there’s an issue with the connection. Double-check your OBD-II port.

The Flash Test can be conducted without a network connection. The Aviloo Box stores the data and uploads it when the next network connection is established.

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Don’t turn on the engine, just the ignition, to keep the vehicle in the correct state.

  • 🔌 The OBD-II port provides all the power the AVILOO Box needs.

The ignition process varies from car to car, so the following points may need to be observed.

  • The driver's seat must be occupied (e.g., for ID3 or ID4).

  • Fasten the driver's seatbelt.

  • Switch the car to Drive Mode or the appropriate driving mode (e.g., for Tesla).

If the ignition is not properly turned on, the LED will blink yellow until the ignition is correctly activated.

The car should not be charging during the test.

The state of charge (SoC) should not be too low – above 5% on the SoC display.
