Ex-Listing or Previous Ad Check
We are excited to announce a new feature in our MotorCheck reports: Ex-Listing Checks. This feature appears under Minor Issues as Previous Advertisements, offering additional valuable insights into a vehicle's sales history.
This new feature aggregates over a billion used car listings from the UK market spanning the past decade. It provides a comprehensive overview of previous advertisements for the vehicle you are checking.
Details include the date of the listing, days the vehicle was offered for sale, price, odometer reading, seller information, and additional listing details.
Main Benefits
Ex-Listing Checks offer several benefits:
Spec Verification: Confirm essential sales details such as alloy styles, interior features, and trim colours.
Mileage History: Enhance the vehicle’s mileage history by incorporating mileage data from previous advertisements.
Sales / Service History: Highlights the previous seller history which adds to the information around what level of prep and servicing has previously been carried out.
Previous Value & Desirability: Offers an understanding of what previous owners might have paid for the car and how long it was on the market.
Additional Vehicle Valuations
Although MotorCheck is not a valuation company, we collaborate with industry experts to bring you professional opinions on vehicle values, aiding in your ability to make the most informed decision possible.
Two New Partners
Together with Auto Trader and Glass's Guide, we have introduced two new valuation providers:
As a result our valuation section now includes insights from Percayso and Brego, offering various perspectives such as trade, retail, supermarket, independent, and franchise valuations. Additionally, we incorporate valuations from Glasses Guide and Autotrader, providing the most comprehensive view that a dealer could ask for.
Feedback and Charges
We would value your feedback on both the Previous Ads feature and the accuracy of the two new valuation providers. Whilst you're evaluating their usefulness, there will be no charges for any of the above throughout August 2024.
Any charges for valuations and ex-listing checks will be determined based on user feedback and preferences.
