To check a number of vehicles in one go you'll need to use the 'Bulk Upload' feature on the Provenance Check page. It's available by clicking the 'Bulk Upload' button as shown below.

Once you've selected 'Bulk Upload' you can use the 'Choose file' button under the Browse for file heading to select a CSV file that you will have saved locally on your computer.

Attached here is a sample copy of the file format that the CSV file should be in.

It’s simply two column with ‘VRM’ and 'Mileage' as the headers. You can include up to 500 rows in a single batch file.

You can create your own too. Here's what it should look like;

Requesting Retail Checks by Bulk Upload

Note: If requesting a 'Retail Check' via the bulk upload you will need to include the 'Bulk Guarantee Level' required. This is done using an additional column with the header 'Bulk Guarantee Level' and looks like this;

Requesting Service History for 1 or more VRM's as part of the upload

You can also include a request for a service history using the bulk upload feature. To do this you need to add the heading "Service History" to column C and place a '1' next to each VRM that you require a service history for. This will activate the request against the report and our support team will source the history (if available) as normal.

For example, the following upload would instruct MotorCheck to carry out a service history request for the VRM 'A4' on the bulk upload. You can download this template here.

Once you've chosen the file for upload you can confirm the type of check you wish to run the bulk upload against. 'Trade check' will likely be pre-selected for you but if you're a Sales Admin requiring a 'Retail Check' you can select it here.

Don't worry if "Retail Check' isn't appearing for you. It's not something that's active on all accounts.

Then click the 'Check' button to begin the upload.

When you have uploaded a file you should receive the following confirmation that the file has been received (blue banner at the top of the page).

Followed by this notification email when the upload has been completed.

Click the 'See Bulk Upload Report' button and you’ll be brought to a page where the results of your upload will be available as a CSV download.

Which will look like this;

All of the reports are also stored individually in your ‘My Reports’ section.

Tip - You will also be able to view the reports as they're created in real time during the bulk process.
